Interested in the BAC? | Member Login | Dues Renewal Welcome to the Birmingham Aero Club! Founded in 1932 and having over 200 members, the BAC has a long history of aviation involvement in Birmingham and the state of Alabama. The club's projects include producing the Southeastern Aircraft Exposition, enhancing aviators' knowledge through the Thurston W. Sumner Flight Education Program, and preserving Alabama's rich aviation history via the Southern Museum of Flight. The Birmingham Aero Club provides a range of social activities for aviation-minded individuals. Monthly dinner meetings held at the Southern Museum of Flight build fellowship among club members and provide education on aviation-related topics from a number of interesting guest speakers. Flying-related events scheduled during the year include gatherings at local general aviation airports along with trips to interesting destinations. Interested in joining us for aviation-related activities in and around Birmingham? We would be delighted to talk with you about membership. While some members are pilots and aircraft owners, many are not. Our only criterion for membership is a passion for aviation. Please click here for information on membership or click here if you would like to receive an invitation to a club event.
